Partners
We extend our gratitude to those who have partnered with us in realizing the vision of Warm Hearth.
“To perseverant and steady rivers that carve canyons into rock not by brute strength, but by their unending force and determination. And to those who have river souls in the fight against despair, against corruption, against all that seeks to leave the world weak and forlorn. You are the true victors. The world is more as it was supposed to be because of you.”
JERMIK ANKYUN (“Warm Hearth”) FOUNDATION
Jermik Ankyun Foundation, an Armenian nonprofit founded in June of 2008, provides oversight and management to Warm Hearth Group Home(s). It was established to provide local and specialized support to all of our homes and residents.
As Warm Hearth began to reach out and extend to a wider community of orphaned or abandoned individuals with disabilities, we realized that we needed a local nonprofit, which could be dedicated exclusively to this vulnerable population we serve.
Jermik Ankyun Foundation is a community-based nonprofit which facilitates the expansion and sustenance of Warm Hearth Group Homes. The founding members have each served Warm Hearth with their gifts and skills since our beginning.
Jermik Ankyun Foundation allows us to put down roots in the Armenian community and connect to other local organizations, which exist to provide care to people with disabilities and mental illnesses. Jermik Ankyun Foundation allows the voices of our residents and people with similar needs to be heard clearly through an organization dedicated exclusively to their needs.
AMANTE MISSION
Amante Mission is a faith-based Arizona nonprofit that exists in part to serve marginalized individuals throughout the world. Amante Mission has partnered with Warm Hearth since the project's inception, providing the initial administrative support and continued financial and advisory support. In addition, Amante Mission traveled to Armenia to record songs and poetry performed by the orphans and to produce a CD of their performance. A copy of this CD is available for a suggested donation of $10. To learn more about Amante Mission, go to www.amantemission.org.
PEACE CORPS ARMENIA
Warm Hearth Group Home began as a Peace Corps project. Peace Corps Armenia provided incredible support as the project developed and grew. Although Warm Hearth has no official Peace Corps connection any longer, we are proud of our roots and proud to be part of the legacy of Peace Corps commitment and service in Armenia and around the world. MISSION ARMENIA
Mission Armenia, an Armenian nonprofit, provided oversight and management to Warm Hearth in our first two and half years of operation, from January 2006 through July of 2008. Their role in the project’s history was invaluable and we will always be grateful for the courage they had in implementing a project that had never been tried in Armenia. With their support, Warm Hearth now has a solid and strong foundation in the community and is overseen and managed by its own Jermik Ankyun (“Warm Hearth”) Foundation.
